Choosing Your Seminar
First, check the website and carefully decide which early morning seminar you would like to attend. If you have questions about which seminar would be best for you, visit the Performers and Seminars page to find out about the different seminars offered this year. Please be aware that if you are planning to attend the Swing Piano workshop, you must bring with you a portable keyboard and headphones. If you still have questions about the sessions, please direct them to Rosemary via email.

Remember, when registration opens, they're swamped and it can be stressful—please be as nice and patient with Sorrento Centre Staff as you would with one of your favourite players. Registrations will be received Monday, March 22nd starting at 9:00 am PST, and will be processed in order of time received. Since there is no early registration, registrations received before 9:00 am on March 22nd will be held back for 24 hours before being processed. In other words, if you try to register early, you may miss out on your first choice of accommodation because your registration won’t be processed until the 23rd.
Acknowledgement will be as follows:
- Email registrations will be acknowledged by return email.
- Telephone messages regarding registrations will be placed in order of time received and acknowledged by day's end.
- Fax registrations will be acknowledged by email or telephone before the end of the same day.
If you are registering by telephone, please have the following information ready before you call:
- Your updated contact information including email address.
- Your choice of seminar and instructor’s name.
- Requirements for accommodation and meals. If you require an RV site, we need to know the size of RV plus vehicle to ensure you the best possible site (one unit per site; additional units will be charged the orchard camping fee).
- Name of roommate for Cabana and Lodge accommodation (if applicable).
- Method of deposit payment – credit card, cheque or cash (if paying by cheque, we will hold your registration for 10 days to allow your cheque to arrive at Sorrento Centre.
- Method of payment of balance.
- Requirement for early arrival. Requests can be made but authorization is not guaranteed. Authorization, if approved, will follow.
Registrations will be processed on a first come, first served basis, after receipt of the non-refundable deposit.
Quieter Zone: A “quieter zone” established in the Orchard and Semi-Service Sites where late night jamming will be discouraged. Please indicate if you wish to be accommodated in the “quieter zone”. We can’t, however, guarantee undisturbed sleep on site.
Please Note:
For this year only, you have the option of paying in full prior to May 1st, 2010 to avoid paying 12% HST. This will permit you to pay only 5% GST on taxable items. Please indicate your intention to do this at the time of registration.
Cancellation Policy:
- Cancellation communication must be in writing.
- Refunds will not be made for cancellations (for any reason) after July 15.
